Sensual Twerk
This twerkshop is a seductive experience that is all about tapping into your sensual energy and embracing your feminine side.
We will work on sensual floorwork twerk techniques and how to own it in a powerful and confident way. After, we will harness that energy into a sultry choreography.
Heels are optional but strongly advised!

Twerk Techniques Masterclass
In this class, we will cover the basic/intermediate twerk moves from booty shaking to jiggling to isolations and work them into a high-energy choreography.
The twerk moves are broken down step by step to help anyone master the basics.
As well as having a lot of fun, this masterclass is a guaranteed full-body workout that will tone your legs, strengthen your core, increase your back and hip flexibility and make you work up a sweat!

Fluidity in Motion
A contemporary pole workshop brought to you by Blackstage Alumni Jao
Stiletto Flow with NK Pole (Akila Pole Studio)
This workshop is all about sensual flow in heels - without the pole. In this class, we will work on some heels techniques followed by a sexy routine with floorwork elements. Open to all levels - no prior experience of dance in heels required. Stiletto heels are recommended but not compulsory (pleasers will not be suitable for this class). Knee pads are recommended.
Sexhibitionist Workshop with Natalya Nightshade (Akila Pole Studio)
Release your inner sexhibitionist, own the stage, and have the audience eating out of the palm of your hand! In this unique progression/prompt hybrid class, students will learn Natalya’s tools to build anticipation, turn up the heat, and deliver a truly intoxicating experience for your audience, whether it’s for one or one hundred. (90 mins - all levels - heels optional).
Ride The Wave Workshop with Natalya Nightshade (Akila Pole Studio)
Learn the art of Natalya Nightshade’s slow, sexy, slink in this technique-driven, wave workshop. In this fluidity-focused class, we will utilize the lower third of the pole to learn the tips and tricks behind her simmering slither, including hypnotic body waves, gooey leg waves, and arms & hands that mesmerize. (90 mins - all levels - heels recommended).

This show is about resisting convention through our art. Welcome to the world of pole and its endless styles. Thirteen extraordinary pole dance artists will be inviting the audience into their style of pole artistry where each performance is unique. Prepare to be enchanted, charmed and enthralled!
Blackstage Pole (est 2020) was founded to shed light on racially marginalised pole dancers who commonly experience erasure, exclusion and other forms of discrimination within the UK Pole Industry. Blackstage highlights and solely platforms the creativity of BPOC pole dancers, especially those who are also plus-sized, LGBTQIA+, disabled or sex workers.

Blackstage X Bō KIRI Pub Quiz

About this event
Blackstage is hosting its annual pub on the topic of pole dancing.
Our last quiz was really fun so we're aiming to do one every year. The Blackstage quiz is open to everyone. Tickets are just £12 and there are prizes to be won! You can either come alone and join a team, or come with your team already ready. Teams need to be a maximum of 6 people and a minimum of 2.
Hint: This may be time to brush up on your brands, equipment and BPOC pole icons.

Our quiz is being held at Bō KIRI can bar, a BPOC owned sustainable bar where all drinks are sold in cans. Bō KIRI says they are attempting to make a bar that is as sustainable as possible. All of their energy is renewable and they have very little wastage compared to other bars. They also try to source things as locally as possible, so many of their brands are Peckham/ London based. Bō KIRI say they are trying to "make premium drinks and cocktails accessible to everyone. In London it is normal to pay £10-20 for a decent cocktail. At Bō KIRI the majority of our drinks are £3-6". So come along and have a canned cocktail and join in our quiz!

The Blackstage Pub Quiz
On the 6th March at 7pm GMT we're hosting an online quiz. The topic is pole! Pole icons, moves and equipment. There are three prizes to be won! A cash prize from ticket sales, Thigh high black patent pleaser boots from Pole Junkie and a £25 voucher from Pole Emporium!
